World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential element of enhancing your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enchantments.
They also provide rewards and upgrades. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.
The upgrade button is available on any item. Every recycled item adds one level to the gauge for upgrading.
Weapon
If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Some upgrade components have aesthetic effects while others give additional attributes. These upgrades can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. The majority of them require that the equipment has an upgrade slot and meets certain specifications. When a weapon or armor piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, it is able to be upgraded but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item the item.
In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon may be upgraded with the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats like Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier the process can be repeated up to four times.
After the weapon has reached its maximum level of upgrade it can be rebuilt to add additional bonuses and effects or improve specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be used simultaneously, and the effects vary depending on the quality of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the kind of damage a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
Generally, it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, then armour defense, and then the other secondary stats as required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons prior to upgrading other gear. item upgrading can help increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments, which are extremely efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats base of specific pieces of armor weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, such as additional damage or an enhancement to the appearance of. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as quest rewards.
Armor can be improved by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In most cases, a piece of armor will be upgraded to the next tier once an upgrade is applied. This is possible for most types of armor, however some items cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).
Most armor upgrades provide some improvement to an item's base defense or strength. Some upgrades, however, can result in significant increases in strength or defense. This is particularly relevant when upgrading epic items.
Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be beneficial in combat, such as giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades can have passive effects that can be beneficial for example, decreasing damage when wearing armor, or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Upgrades to armor could require several attempts, depending on the type. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor that has a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with an initial defense of 67-77 and the list goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this, players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains found in the game. Each of these locations houses the power of a fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief, armor in The Division 2 is not useless. Certain armors provide a significant boost to the reduction of damage caused by poison, curse, magic, or fire. This makes them beneficial for certain builds. There are other ways to increase the strength of armor apart from upgrading the armor, for instance using the engineer attribute to increase armor penetration or the challenger to reduce the weight of the entire armor.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in an brewing stand in order to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a different level of effects from the potion and can be re-used to increase the potency.
The potions also get a custom color, which can be chosen by the player via the /give. The color will affect the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion colour also applies to the particle effects of the potions.
